SYNLAB HAUTS DE FRANCE Company Profile - Dun & Bradstreet Back at the launch of the 8th edition of Warhammer 40,000 we saw a series of volumes from Forge World collecting together all the rules for Forge World units in the new edition of the game. Its unfortunate that these are just presented as a recommendation, as they effectively mean nothing and people will continue to play with whatever rules they want. The first is that the units in the Chaos Space Marine section reference the keyword, and where they do, they tell you to refer toCodex: Chaos Space Marines. Since you can double gun these, you definitely want to take this variant if youre planning on doing silly things withVisions in the Smoke, itsvastly better than the mainline one for that role. It got both cheaper and bump in firepower, making it an interesting option for someone who wants to go in on vehicles. The deathshroud build feels like the play, and the fact that this loadout is over 120pts cheaper than in CA is kind of mind boggling. Warhammer 40,000 Imperial Armour Compendium - Forge World 40k 9th Thankfully they do also get a small benefit in the ability for a vehicle to fire on a 4+ when they are killed, making it a danger at times to take out Krieg vehicles, especially ones with nasty weapons! People are sad about the leviathan, but before the compendium he was approaching a Knight in points, had terrible rules, was more expensive than the loyalist version and his guns were average. Imperial Fists Fellblade. Las-rippers bump up to 36 range, strength 9, and D6 damage, so theyre very nearly a twin lascannon, and the plasma eradicator trades a point of strength to upgrade from d3 to d6 shots, gain blast, and pick up a point of damage. Inside Imperial Armour Compendium - Warhammer Community The one sting in the tail here is that hes returned with theSpeedwaaagh! All flavours ofMalcador also go down a lot in cost, and while it probably doesnt make them competitive, like a lot of things it stops them being as hateful to use. Whereas before Chaos players could laugh at loyalists forced to play around unit restrictions thanks to the Relic rule, now were in the exact same boat as loyalists, in that many of the units that you might take from this book now cost you 1 CP to add to a detachment. Tau also do very well in the points department with the Rvarna getting a big points cut, we also see a number of weapons tweaks too, with increased damage and strength here and there across the range, perhaps pointing at any future upcoming changes in a new book on the horizon. Right out the gate, theCarnodon gets a minor discount and some extra wounds nothing exciting, but nothing to sniff at either. RIP. Coronus Grav-Carrier: 15 points cheaper, lost -2 to charge and kept fly (like the other grav vehicles). They overly complicated old void shield rules have disappeared, now using the new rules we talked about for the Astraeus. Drukhari only have two options, and theyre both kind of fine. Back at the launch of the 8th edition of Warhammer 40,000 we saw a series of volumes from Forge World collecting together all the rules for Forge World units in the new edition of the game. Over the next few weeks, well be diving much deeper into these new rules and how they shake things up for each faction and make no mistake, theyshake things up in some pretty big ways. Both Hierodule builds getmassive discounts too (and sit in the Heavy Support slot), and the Scythed option ends up in a pretty similar spot to the Dimachaeron, though Id probably give that monstrosity the not because of its invuln and mobility tricks (though to be fair if you have a slot free to put Dermic Symbiosis on the Hierodule its probably better). The Gatling Cannon is unchanged, and the Cleavers Slash profile gets a helpful boost moving to 2 damage from D3. GW noticed that theGargantuan Squiggothhad no business being as cheap as it was, and have substantially hiked the price. Kept the FLY keyword, otherwise unchanged. They killed my DKOK, thanks a lot after buying a Gorgon. Ultimately, its a stronger unit, but its still a Lord of War. The Warp Hunter is still way too expensive for how fragile it is, while the Nightwing gets a weird makeover from undercosted cheap option to trying to be a heavier flyer, and there just isnt a slot for what its doing. A WS/BS 2+ contemptor dread, hes a 9 wound character, has a 4+ invulnerable save, and can do a few mortal wounds when he completes a charge. This seems a way of restricting those rare units and make sure the battlefield isnt flooded by them dont forget that this will have an impact on your free detachment, as the warlord only refunds the initial CP cost of them! Thanks, guys. 2 - Space Marines and Forces of the Inquisition, War Machines of the Adeptus Astartes (Second Edition), Vol. That probably still isnt pushing them to the top tables. In the same way as Space Marines, the Traitors also have to spend an additional CP if they want to take a Martial Legacy unit. The tanks are OK but theyre still Lords of War and while they may come across as somewhat usable, the CP cost to take them just isnt worth it. If youre familiar with the Codex: Space Marines relic contemptor datasheet youre already familiar with this one the only difference is new weapon options. All of these units follow the standard rules for their factions. He might be an Elite or an HQ (listed differently in the points values vs his datasheet), but either way hes clearly worth taking. Grey Knights get a variant of the Land Raider which has psycannons on it, for some reason with a different profile than seen on normal ones. If so, that sucks Drills at least were something Id have liked to see stick around in Death Guard armies, and the loss of them is a major blow to a lot of current competitive builds. Offensively, the melta cutter increased from d3 shots to 5 shots and picked up the new melta rules, and the termite drill loses the complicated mortal wound thing in exchange for a straight damage increase d3+3 against most targets, and a colossal d3+6 against vehicles. Hes still got two casts and denies and is still way nastier/tougher in a fight than most equivalents, so may still be the one of the better inquisition options. The Imperial Knights get profiles for all Knight variants currently produced by Forge World including some much appreciated points cuts! The good news is they might do OK at that up front, they are now a real psyker, getting access to smite and knowing one power from the Rune of Battle discipline. Pure upside is the best kind of upside. In addition to being recommendations and not rules, theyre just kinda boring. STAREVER Company Profile | ROUBAIX, HAUTS DE FRANCE, France Its tougher, its way meaner on the offence, it starts with its 5++ and grows a 5+++as well if it devours something and only pays an extra 20pts for the privilege. The premium it pays for having built-in deep strike is massively lower than it used to be, and being able to deploy from the webway removes the worry about it getting punked straight off the board. I've been working on some seriously unwell looking vampires! After all those words about the leviathan changes, this is a breath of fresh air. At least they are 10 points cheaper now for every build except double claws (which stayed the same). Venatari Custodians[ CORE]: Woo buddy, am I excited. Grab a brew and paint/chat with us! There are some changes in weapons as well stormcannon arrays trade 2 shots for an extra 12 range, melta lances gain blast but swap from 2d3 to d6 shots, and the grav-flux bombard doubles in shots and has a more standard grav weapon statline. **Somebody give Forge World a camera**My first look at the Imperial Armour Compendium from Forge World.Price 40EnjoySave on Warhammer 40K here: - Elemen. Across the board most special rules have moved from being specifically written out on datasheets to referencing back to Codex: Space Marines. In a move for anyone who loves the Mole Launcher too, the squad can now have this as an attachment too rather than having to replace squad members! 1 - Imperial Guard and Imperial Navy, Vol. Imperial Armour Compendium - Warhammer 40k - Lexicanum Just like with their Imperial counterparts, we see updated profiles for every variant of Imperial Knight, giving the Chaos Knights access to a large pool of different chassis, these have also been tweaked in regards to points values in line with the Imperial versions! Credit: Jack Hunter. At that point, slap an ATS on it and the main guns are straight up better heavy burst cannons on a chassis thats tougher than a Riptide, so while you do trade off a bit of flexibility, its at least a usable option. Acanthrites also get a decent point cut to pay back their loss of BS, and definitely end up as a better unit out of it, even if I struggle to see myself ever taking them over more Skorpekh. Even Forge World armies such as the Death Korps of Krieg ended up in a weird limbo where they could use some units from the Astra Militarum book, but not all in exchange for getting access to a couple of unique units. First up, the Warboss on Warbike revs his motorcycle and pulls a sick wheely straight out of legends prison mostly. which get a few tweaks but dont change massively. Aquilon Custodians [CORE] : Fists and bolter is 5 points cheaper!?!?! While it only has 32W, its got T9, a built in 4++ against shooting and the right keywords for Lightning Fast, making it extremely non-trivial to kill at range, especially if you stickFortune on it as well. This means that until we see an FAQ or errata saying otherwise, these units areoff-limits to Thousand Sons and Death Guard. Unfortunately, both of these get hit hard by being forced to take theInspiring Leader warlord trait. [2] It also includes : One Regimental Doctrine for the Death Korps of Krieg, designed to work with Codex: Astra Militarum [2] Alright lets start with the cool stuff that only Chaos Space Marines get, instead of the things we share with loyalists. PDF Warhammer 40,000 - Imperial Armour Compendium.pdf - 9th Edition Similar to the Space Marines we get a lot of traitor variants added, along with a new stratagem Smokescreen added in order to replicte the ability that Space Marines currently get in their book, again future proofing this volume until the Chaos Space Marines book is updated! Since Veterans have a real use case at the moment, this seems honestly fantastic. If you are a fan of Forge World models and want the chance to use them in your games of 40k then you really should pick this book up, and while I understand that for pure Tyranid players it may seem a shame you have to fork out for the entire book, for those who collect multiple armies it is great having all these profiles collected in one place! Credit: Jack Hunter. The basic and command squad variants go up to three wounds a pop with a 5+ FNP for 15pts each, and get slightly improved in melee from their previous incarnation, with their mounts getting a point of AP on their attacks. First and foremost are the Astra Militarum which also includes a new Regimental Doctrine for the Death Korps of Krieg. In the past, there were a few standout units that could be found in almost any army (looking at you contemptors and leviathans), and a lot of units that were just nowhere near usable. Some had vastly over the top rules for their relatively cheap points levels, while others seemed far too expensive in points for their in-game performance. Imperial Fists Deimos Vindicator Laser Destroyer. Start Competing: Chaos Space Marines Updated! However, were concerned that if we dont make this statement Condit will kill us: Just play Titanicus instead. Corbax isnt bad, but hes not exciting, either. 9th Edition Imperial Armour Compendium: The Goonhammer Review Still immunity to melta extra damage? Hes armed with a heavy plasma cannon and dreadnought close combat weapon, and only costs 20 points more than an equivalently armed relic contemptor. 21.8M . A vindicator: cool. The Ares getting a points increase, and being potentially worse vs hordes could be a big deal in the long run. While were going to dig into the highlights and lowlights of individual units below, our overall impression is that there was a significant smoothing over of the entire book. This tradeoff is whatever right now; nothing you really want to take has Smokescreen. It also helps that the statline is still fine theyve gone to 9W rather than 12, but are at least non-degrading, and get the always-on ability to ignore AP-1, a nice extra upside. imperial armour compendium 9th edition pdf trove. Such an awesome model and can't wait to paint more! Warhammer 40k - Imperial Armour - Index - Forces of the Adeptus Astartes.pdf download. Engineers are less exciting they lose their weird super shotguns and are basically kind of boring. Thats it. Venatari, Dreads, and Aquilon come out looking pretty damn good with the new FW book. - Warhammer 40K BOOKS COLLECTION - Internet Archive Not only do we finally get a Titan Legions faction we can draw our army from, but we also get some massively reworked Titan profiles! Not a huge change, but really impactful vs some targets. Ill have to use my converted tech priest as a Warpsmith I guess. Titans now have a stock 2+ save and many more wounds than they used to have, but had their toughness dropped a little. Units have also had the CORE keyword added, setting them up to be futureproofed for a future Custodes Codex. 9th Edition Imperial Armour Compendium: The Goonhammer Review By James "One_Wing" Grover October 31, 2020 Forge World formed a key part of competitive play in 8th Edition, offering a wide range of additional options for some factions alongside some very cool models for players who wanted to try something different. They no longer give hit re-rolls, instead repairing a vehicle and reloading any once-per-battle weapons. Lets start with my beautiful special explodey boy, the Kytan Ravager. A bright point is his dreadfire claw switching from damage D6 to damage 4, but without the absurd durability he used to have, and without the choice of warlord traits, hes not bringing much to the table. Warhammer 40k - Imperial Armour . will find the Warhammer 40,000 datasheets for the entire range. These rules are better than what we used to have, and their costs do sit in a more realistic range than before, but paying 3 CP to take a greater daemon with no exalted abilities is weak sauce. The Phantom Titan is also a loser obviously its not playable in Strike Force games, but even if you find yourself wanting to spend 3000pts on Titans in a game youre better taking two Revenants, as theyre vastly more efficient. The Stormblade andPraetor stand out a bit as both get a signifcant bump to their main guns, with the Stormblade going up a point of damage and the Praetor getting an extra D6 shots on the firetstorm mode. The Imperial Armour books have also featured a few less well known successor chapters over the years, and Imperial Armour Compendium features suggested chapter tactics to best represent the way they fight I love this and gives players a framework towards designing their chapter to best fit the lore and narrative of the army as reflected in Warhammer 40k literature! The Gargantuan Squiggoth can also fall back and charge and even move over other units as it they were not there, something lacking in the current sheet making it easy to pin then down. It changes a reasonable amount the weapon goes to D2 rather than D3but the Nova charge mode is now just a flat 9 shots per fun (so 18 total), it goes up to S7 when you Nova it, and the whole package has come down a cool 110pts. This 224-page hardback book provides you with all the datasheets and supporting rules you need to unleash the fury of your most powerful units in Warhammer 40,000. The Adeptus Mechanicus get updated profiles for the Secutarii with rules keying off the new Titan Legion keyword that has been added for Titans. 173.9M . There isnt any massive rules changes, but some minor adjustments and a few buffs/discounts scattered around (or in the case of Venatari, a minor change with a HUGE impact). What about the new thunderhawk rules? Likewise their Dreadnoughts also get the same damage reducing abilities to bring them inline! Cookie information is stored in your browser and performs functions such as recognising you when you return to our website and helping our team to understand which sections of the website you find most interesting and useful. A welcome an unexpected change, in addition to the fact that the Solerite Gauntlet is now flat 2 damage (fuck you D3 damage).
